Emphasis is on holistic, integrated language arts instruction, incorporating oral and written language skill areas.
Upon successful completion, educators will be able to:
Define language arts and explain how language arts are learned and taught
Summarize what is meant by a holistic approach to teaching language arts
Determine how to assess and differentiate language arts instruction
Determine how to integrate teaching with literature and informational texts
