Introduction to Design Thinking

Do you want to engage girls in STEAM? This course will familiarize you with the 5 components of design thinking, engineering design challenges, and what makes a good STEAM activity.

  • Understand the importance of STEAM for girls

  • List the 5 components of Design Thinking 

  • Identify a good STEAM activity

  • Demonstrate the design process in everyday life

7.5 contact hours = 0.8 CEU. CEU will be awarded upon successful completion of this course.

Assessment Criteria 

To earn CEUs, the learner must complete and pass a final exam with an 80% or higher to demonstrate cognitive mastery of learning outcomes.
